Storyboards turn ideas into visual images. Storyboards convey continuity and give voice to narratives through expressive drawings. Before any animated film or television series can begin production, its script must be made into a storyboard. Good storyboards require an artist with a myriad of traditional drawing skills and incorporates everything from theatrical staging to the use of cinematic transitions. With an emphasis on line, tone, and design, this workshop will introduce new students to the skills needed to create professional level storyboards for commercials, live action film, and animation, while offering seasoned artists new approaches to narrative art.
