Pigments are unpredictable; they have personality and the best way to learn how color works is through practice and observation. Dee’s workshop offers artists a rare opportunity to practice theory, learn new color concepts, fine tune their creative process and develop color-mixing skills.

Through lectures, demos and hands-on participation we will focus on organizing color, achieving effective color contrasts, working with limited palettes, mixing luminous colors and working with contemporary CMYK pigments. Students will learn the value of color modulation, sequencing and working with neutrals to create dynamic compositions.

Workshop attendees will leave with new tools, skills and fresh color ideas.
