In this course we will focus on working with a limited palette of primary colors to deepen knowledge about color mixing and color harmony. We will explore the color wheel to further understand complementary colors and color temperatures. Students will make a color chart to practice color mixing. We will initially work on short practice exercises including painting a color study working from a model. The remainder of the class will focus on completing a long pose figure painting using both direct observation and the color studies for reference. This workshop is open to all levels.
