Large scale watercolor demonstration.  During the workshop students will explore the range of possibilities that watercolor offers for expressive, contemporary painting.  Students are encouraged to bring a reference, such as a photo or sketch, to help them begin their own paintings. This workshop is open to students of all levels, and each student will receive intensive individual instruction.

About the Instructor

Elizabeth Allison received her B.F.A. from University of Michigan and her M.F.A. from the City College of New York. She is the recipient of the Raluca Popescu Memorial Scholarship, a Nessa Cohen Grant, and three Elizabeth Greenshields Grants. She was a Model to Monument Participant in 2010–2011, had a monumental sculpture in Riverside Park South, and was a visiting artist at Buffalo State College. In addition to expressive watercolor, she teaches mold making and direct plaster sculpture at The Art Students League. She is represented by Hugo Galerie. For more information, please visit
