The workshop is organized as a series of projects designed to open your eyes and enhance your perception of color. We will start with simple objects as a means to explore concepts of light and shadow. This will be followed by exercises of slightly greater complexity, using shapes to illustrate how colors interact under varying lighting conditions. Particular attention will be paid to the dynamic relation between “warm”colors and “cool” colors, both in light and in shadow. The goal is to heighten the student’s capacity to discern variations of color shade and sharpen his perceptual acuity overall.
