About the artist: Pedro Ramirez is an educator who teaches ceramics with a focus on organic forms which reference the earths atmosphere, soil strata and woodgrain patterns. Ceramics can be seen as a material, like those in his installations, which is derived naturally from the earth. He currently teaches college level at Marymount Manhattan College, and studio level at Greenwich House Pottery and Mouse Ceramic Studio.
