A talk with contemporary artist Philip Pearlstein, moderated by League Instructor Timothy J. Clark.

Internationally-celebrated artist Philip Pearlstein will discuss his stellar career on June 25 at the League. Mr. Pearlstein has led a revival in realist art over the last fifty years. Working in both watercolor and oil, he has blended European and American traditions in painting into a unique modern expression. Represented by Betty Cunningham Gallery, his work is in over seventy major museums.

This talk is in conjunction with Mr. Pearlstein’s current exhibition, Today, at the Betty Cuningham Gallery through June 17.

The League welcomes this American icon, long a fixture as an artist and educator in the New York art world.

Special thanks to Board President Tom Harvey and Cathie Black for their generous support of this lecture.
