Class Description

Inspired by the figure, still life, reference or inner inspiration? This class is dedicated to providing information and individual attention designed to enable each person to achieve their personal artistic vision. Explore old master’s techniques, contemporary concepts, com- position, color, anatomy, proportion and perspective through lectures, demonstrations and sharing ideas. Work with your favorite mediums and try new ones. There will be a model. All levels are welcome.

About the Instructor

Sherry Camhy’s work has been exhibited in and is part of the permanent collections of numerous museums. She curated The Silverpoint Exhibition at The National Arts Club (2013), and published Art of the Pencil (1997) and Robert Beverly Hale Lectures (2016). Articles by and about her have appeared in many art publications. When she is not giving workshops at The Art Students League, the School of Visual Arts, NYU Tisch School of the Arts or abroad, she can be found working in her studio in West Chelsea, NY.
