This workshop will begin with a large scale watercolor demonstration.  During the workshop students will explore the range of possibilities that watercolor offers for expressive, contemporary painting.  Students are encouraged to bring a reference, such as a photo or sketch, to help them begin their own paintings. This workshop is open to students of all levels, and each student will receive intensive individual instruction.

About the Instructor

Elizabeth Allison studied at the Art Students League and received a B.F.A. from the University of Michigan.  She is the recipient of the Raluca Popescu Memorial Scholarship, a Nessa Cohen Grant, and three Elizabeth Greenshields Grants.  She was a Model to Monument Participant in 2010-2011 and had a monumental sculpture in Riverside Park South.  She was a visiting artist at Buffalo State College and is a technical instructor at the Art Students League.
