Residency Enrollment Form

Enrollment is by merit only. Those wishing to apply may do so by mail or online using the form on this page:

APPLY BY MAIL

Your application should include:

1. 10 numbered and labeled images as slides or photographs on a CD. Be certain to include the medium, size, date and title for each work.

2. A statement of intent stating what you wish to accomplish during your one or two month stay. Please indicate when you wish to attend.

3. Complete the Printable Registration Form and fax to us at 845-359-1263 or fill out our Online Registration Form and pay the $15 annual registration fee.

4. Two letters of recommendation.

Application Deadlines

Applications are due two months in advance of chosen month or months.

Acceptance

You will be notified shortly after receipt of application and review of materials.

Schedule of Residency

Each artist can stay for one or two months. Each stay begins on the first day of each calendar month and ends on the last day of the month.

The program is open year round. The Vytlacil campus follows the  holiday and closing schedule of the Art Students League of New York. 

Foreign Applicants

If required, a vistor’s visa must be secured by the artist after acceptance. Check with the U.S. State Department Visa Guidelines at: http://travel.state.gov/ for instructions. Artists should obtain their visa to coincide with their selected stay.

Academic Credit

The Vytlacil Campus program is recognized by and accepted at colleges, art schools and universities at their discretion.

Application includes ten .jpg/.jpeg files. Images should be no larger than 800 x 600 pixels. Be certain to include the medium, size, date and title for each work.

A Statement of Intent stating what you wish to accomplish during your one or two month stay.

If you are not already a registered student of the ASL of NY, please complete the online registration form and pay the $15 annual registration fee.

You must also submit two letters of recommendation. You may attach your letters as MS Word or Text files or you may send to 'info at aslv.org' - substitute the @ symbol for 'at'). Application deadlines are the same as indicated above. If your application is approved you may pay using this form.
