The evolution of the modern watercolor medium
With Frederick Brosen

A survey on the evolution of the modern watercolor medium, from it’s antecedents as a topographical recorder to the creative explosion initiated with the Early English Romantic painters. Picking up with Turner and Girtin, of course, but also with Cozens, Bonington, Cotman, Lusieri, Friedrich and on into the influence of Ruskin and the American Pre-Raphaelites.

Free and open to the public.
