Why do we humans almost always depict our deities with human bodies? We must need this physical connection to the divine. Working with images of deities from all over the world, we will first experience their poses, expressions and moods ourselves by imitation. Then we will create our own gods and goddesses working from our own desires and needs. We will choose stances and add symbols, tools, weapons, talismans, landscape ––whatever enhances the power and specific duties of our deity.
