Leonid Brener
Elements of Drawing, Anatomy for Artists

Leonid Brener received an M.F.A. degree in Decorative Arts and Sculpture from the Stroganov Institute of Fine Arts and Design, Moscow, Russia.

Mr. Brener has received numerous awards for his work including those for the Medal Design Competition, Paris, France; the Glass Tower Project Competition, Tokyo, Japan; and the Decorative Sculpture Competition for the design of the exterior of the Moscow Museum of Musical Culture, Moscow, Russia.

In the United States, Mr. Brener was one of the co-creators of the St. Francis sculpture on the facade of the Shrine Church of St. Anthony of Padua on Sullivan Street in New York City. His portrait of Pushkin is in the collection of the Russian Cultural Center of the Russian Embassy in Washington D.C.

Mr. Brener has taught drawing, sculpture and painting at the New York Studio School, New York Educational Alliance and the Sculpture Center in New York.
