Kikuo Saito
Drawing and Painting, Color Composition ö from Life and Imagination

Kikuo Saito was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1939 and moved to New York in 1966. He studied at the Art Students League and worked as a studio assistant to Larry Poons, Kenneth Noland and Helen Frankenthaler. Mr. Saito also worked as a theater designer for many noted directors and later directed his own plays.

Mr. Saito has been exhibiting his work since 1976 in many group and one-person shows.

He is represented by Salander-OâReilly Galleries, New York City; Gallery Camino Real, Boca Raton, Florida; Robert Kidd Gallery, Michigan; Art Source, Cleveland, Ohio; Galerie Thiele, Austria and BMB Gallery, Amsterdam.

Mr. Saito was an artist-in-residence at Duke University in 1996 and a visiting professor at Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Japan in 2003. He currently works out of his studio in New York City.
