Comics and Sequential Art

Jamal Yaseem Igle began his comics career at the age of seventeen, when he started working as an intern at D.C. Comics. Today, Jamal has a successful penciling career, and he has served as editor, art director, and animation storyboard artist on a wide array of projects. With writer Jay Faerber, he co-created the comic book series, Venture, published by Image Comics, and his detailed pencils have graced books as varied as The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglas and the all-ages action miniseries, Race Against Time. He has also worked on many mainstream hits, including G.I. Joe, Green Lantern, IronFist/Wolverine: The Return of Kun Lun, Iron Man, Wonder Woman: Our Worlds at War, Martian Manhunter #36, Supergirl # 71, Noble Causes, and a four issue run of New Warriors for Marvel.

Mr. Igle is an active volunteer with the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art as well as a guest lecturer on the subjects of comics and animation. He is currently an exclusive artist for D.C. Comics.
