Ellen Eagle holds a B.F.A. with distinction in drawing from the California College of Arts and Crafts, took Daniel Greeneâs workshop and studied with Michael Burban at the Art Students League. Her primary study has been with Harvey Dinnerstein, for whom she was a class assistant at the Art Students League.

Ms. Eagle's work is represented by Forum Gallery, New York City, where her work was introduced in a solo exhibit in 2002. This was followed by solo exhibits at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts and, most recently, at Concordia College in Bronxville, New York. Her work has been shown in venues such as the National Academy Museum, the Butler Institute of American Art, the Frye Art Museum, the New Jersey State Museum, the Albright-Knox Gallery and the Arkansas Drawing Center. Her work has been reproduced in The New York Times, the Newark Star Ledger, Portrait Signature magazine, was featured in the December 2004 issue of American Artist Magazine and will be featured in the upcoming book The Classical Drawing Atelier (Watson-Guptill).

Her articles, ãAn Elegant Unrestä and ãComposing A Lifeä appeared, respectively, in the summer 2004 and fall 2005 issues of Linea: The Journal of the Art Students League of New York.

Ms. Eagle is the recipient of many awards and grants, including an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant. Her pastel paintings are owned by private and corporate collectors throughout the country.
