Summer 2013

The Art Students League's summer session runs from Monday, June 3 through Saturday, August 17. There are also two special classes for children 8 to 12 years of age that meet Monday through Thursday mornings or afternoons from Monday, July 1 through Thursday, August 15.

Student Information Form. Registration dates are listed below:

Priority Registration: Monday, April 15th to Sunday, April 28th

Ecorché Methods with a Focus on the Structural & Anatomical Analysis of the Head & Neck (Wed and Thurs)
Drawing and sculpting the head and neck, instructor Chris Raccioppi will guide students through the process of building in 2 & 3 dimensions, the head and neck.  This essential study is a valuable prerequisite to the portrait.  Porcu methods will be covered and structure and anatomy will be stressed.*This is not a cast drawing class and students may register at any time.

Tickets must be purchased in the office the day of the class. Please consult the office for more information.

*A studio maintenance fee of $10 will be added to class tuition fee.
 
Schedule of classes, instructors and fees are subject to change without notice. Instructors are present in the studio for criticism and discussion twice a week, unless otherwise noted. Class availability for both full- and part-time registration is restricted by the number of spaces available in any class at any one time and by instructor preferences.

In addition to classes listed on the schedule, the League is also offering these  "open classes," which have no instructors.

Saturday Open Sculpture – Half-day sessions (AM/PM) $12 regular, $8 members, All Day session: $20 regular, $16 members – this is for the Wood and Stone studios

Open Mixed Media
– Monday and/or Tuesday nights 6:45 PM to 10:00 PM, $6 per session, $45 monthly pro-rated tuition, Mixed Media studio in the basement
